I grew up with my loved ones constantly dieting. I watched them lose weight and regain it in a seemingly endless cycle. I saw the horrible impact it had on their self esteem, watched them cry in front of the mirror. I attended weight watchers meetings with them, saw them happy to fit into a smaller dress size, witnessed emotional eating and regain. Slimming shakes, detoxes, gym memberships, membership cancellations, jogging, low fat, no fat, atkins… You get the idea!
As a young girl, witnessing the people I loved going through such a hard time with their body image hit me hard. And as I grew into a teenager, and became more aware of images of women in the media, I developed my own eating disorder. After a two year battle I overcame it and turned my focus towards educating myself about food, nutrition, physical and mental health, and fitness.
11 years on, goEvo was born! A culmination of outrage at media portrayals of the ideal body, anger at the diet industry and the desire to help other people, led us here.

Meet Our Team
Abby is passionate about nutrition, health and psychology. Her personal and family struggles led her to question popular trends, instilled in us from childhood, about nutritional health, weight-loss diets, and body image. These experiences and wanting to give her children a healthy start to life, were key to developing goEvo’s mission: to help us make better choices about food, exercise and wellbeing by challenging false ideas and improving our knowledge and confidence to change our behavior.
Amin prefers getting his exercise by trying to keep up with his young children and Mica the dog in the great outdoors, rather than pushing and pulling bits of heavy metal in an air conditioned gym with sweaty strangers. He loves building great teams and solving big problems and believes we need to look beyond the hype and across different cultures, old and new, to find the best ways to make us healthier and happier.
Dr Monica Cain
Dr Monica is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist accredited with the British Psychological Society. She specializes in eating disorders, anxiety and depression. She holds a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology and has over 10 years experience working in the private and public sectors, facilitating group and individual therapy. She is passionate about using technology to help a wider group of people.
Ronna is an accomplished Executive Chef and Food Writer. Her deep knowledge and passion for food and nutrition was developed as an innovative chef, working over the last 20 years across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Ronna holds degrees in Art Education and the Culinary Arts. She is on a mission to educate others to cook and eat more healthy and interesting food.
Nutrition and Fitness Consultant
Jenny provides nutritional advice and plans, personal and group training to clients on the French Riviera, globally, and Online. Her mission is to drive sustainable weight loss for her clients. She compliments functional training with practical education in areas such as shopping, food and understanding nutritional labels. Her belief is ‘knowledge is power’ and empowering clients in ‘why’ to do something. Jenny holds professional qualifications in nutrition and fitness.
Ryan is a Certified Personal Trainer. He educates, motivates and inspires his clients to help them lead healthier lives. He currently works with clients in the South East of England, providing training and nutritional advice. He studied Sports Science at Brunel University and has a certificate in designing pre and post-natal exercise programs. Early in his career, he provided strength and conditioning services at Leyton Orient Football Club.
